Soiled carpet needs more than just an extractor to get it clean. CARPET PROS combines the use of vacuums, brushes, detergents, and extractors to get the job done right.
Q: When you clean our carpet, what will you do to make it look good?
A: When we perform a carpet cleaning (or upholstery cleaning), we do more than just bring in an extraction machine and run it over your carpet. Preparing your carpet for extraction is the biggest part of the job. Your carpet should be vacuumed, pre-sprayed and agitated, extracted and groomed to be cleaned properly. Whether it's us or another carpet cleaning service, be sure to find out HOW your carpet or upholstery is going to be cleaned.
Q: Do you guarantee your work?
A: We do guarantee that you will be satisfied with your cleaning. We are confident that we do the best job possible to get your carpet and upholstery clean and fresh. While most stains can be removed, there are some stains that are impossible to remove completely. So as we guarantee your satisfaction, we can't guarantee that every stain can be completely removed. We will make every effort to remove the stains. We will discuss these problem areas with you upon inspection of your carpets.
Q: Can you apply fabric protectors?
A: Absolutely. If you would like your carpet or upholstery to be protected, we can do that for you. Fabric protectors are designed to make it easier and more effective to clean soil and drink spills. Soil in your carpets will be more effectively vacuumed and drink spills will be easier to clean up because the liquid will be repelled rather than absorbed by the fabric. Just be sure to blot drink spills with a moist cloth as soon as possible after the spill occurs. Never use bleach to try and remove stains. While bleach may remove some or most of the stain, it will also remove the colour from your carpet.
Q: I need the carpet under my settee cleaning as well. Can you move it so that it can be cleaned?
A: Yes we can. Furniture such as chairs, settees and tables can be moved and replaced for a more thorough clean. Some furniture such as grandfather clocks and entertainment centres won't be moved because of the risk of damage. We will discuss with you what can and cannot be moved during your carpet cleaning. Wood and metal based furniture will be placed upon pads or blocks to prevent bleeding or rusting.
Q: How long will it take to dry?
A: Depending on the type of pile your carpet has; it will take from 1 to 5 hours to dry. If you have a berber type carpet; expect up to 2 hours drying time. If you have a thick, wool type carpet; you can expect up to 5 hours drying time. Opening doors and windows will decrease drying time as the evaporating moisture can be drawn out, allowing the carpet to dry faster.
